TRAQ - Travel Retail Audit Quarterly

Our latest major research project is TRAQ – Travel Retail Audit Quarterly - the objective of which is to markedly improve the level and availability of truly accurate market data on the industry.

TRAQ produces category specific aggregated reports based upon actual POS sell-out data from locations and retailers all over the world – thus providing an information base similar to what has long been established on domestic markets through research companies like A.C. Nielsen and NPD Group.

The TRAQ initiative has been received very enthusiastically by Duty Free and Travel Retail operators the world over, a large number of which have already formally committed to the research programme (reference list to be provided to you), with more being added almost on a weekly basis. The collection of quarterly sales data (right down to SKU) commenced in 1Q and 2Q 2004 and is continuing apace. During this initial period we have continuously worked on the interfaces, the product master listings and the software development, a work which is now largely completed but under constant review and development, of course.

TRAQ is currently available to participating retailers is commercially available to brand owners / suppliers / distributors since 2005. The categories currently covered are Beverage (Wines & Spirits), Confectionery, Fine Food and Tobacco.

TRAQ is set to become the indispensable resource for reliable, comprehensive and in-depth analysis on what is happening in the duty free and travel retail market today for both retail operators and suppliers alike.

If you and your colleagues need to know what is selling, where, at what prices, brands’ sales and market share evolutions in selected regions (and your share of these brands’ sales) and so on - there is no other source that can offer a more complete picture than TRAQ.
