GENERATION EXPANDS WITH NEW STAFF

Generation Research, the Swedish duty free and travel retail industry analyst, has appointed Helene Andersson as International Sales & Marketing Director.
Helene will primarily be working with the Generation flagship title Best & Most as well as TREND - the 24/7 news and communication website -that Generation publishes in partnership with the Travel Retail Business. “I am very pleased to welcome Helene as part of our team. We look forward very much to working with her, a co-operation that no doubt will further strengthen and enhance our portfolio of products and services”, says Yngve Bia, President Generation Research. Notably, from previously having been a restricted site requiring subscription and login, the online (since 2005) Best & Most will as from 5 April 2010 become a public site open to all. Best & Most was first published in 1979 in book format and has ever since remained the “bible” of statistics and market intelligence for the global duty free and travel retail trading community. “We see this opening up of our gigantic statistical database to everyone in the business to be perfectly in line with our long-time ambition to assist in providing a better understanding of the business. For 30 years we have preached and advocated the idea of transparency and sharing of data” says Yngve Bia.
Helene has a background in the tourism industry as well as in the travel retail business. After a few years working in marketing for the private sector in Sweden, she is now happily returning to the exciting world of travel retail.
